Penington Press is a small, independently owned publisher located in Manhattan, New York. We offer unique, fine quality books for readers who demand an authentic and memorable travel experience.

Penington Press seeks out the places that don't make it onto bus tours or into traditional travel guides. Expect the unexpected.

In 2000, we launched our first title, ˇNI UNA BOMBA MÁS: Vieques vs. U.S. Navy!, an English language book about the civil disobedience movement in Puerto Rico. That island continues to draw international attention for the Navy's cleanup efforts.

Currently, we are offering two online courses in travel writing and self publishing. We are seeking manuscripts that illuminate (1) first-person adventure travel, (2) projects - either social or scientific - that reverse environmental degradation, and (3) photojournalism in the Third World. To submit your proposal, please send no more than a two-page synopsis of your manuscript (double-spaced) with a brief author's bio to:
admin@peningtonpress.com.

We welcome your comments and suggestions.
